To those that don't follow sports like I do, this may seem to be a silly post.
I am starting to get petrified about this weekend. Sunday is the Super Bowl and my 49ers are playing in the big game for the first time since 1995. The last time they were in a Super Bowl I had to work at Taco Bell and couldn't see the game. That's quite a few years ago.
I know it's "only a game" and I know that I'm not playing in it...but I'm still nerved up. Being a part of a fan base goes far beyond liking something. It's a badge of pride to be worn proudly for all to see. It's a camaraderie that you get when you see a member of the same fan base as you. It's wanting your team to win more than anything...and THAT is what makes my nerves all rattled.
The next couple of days may be long ones!
